David Pollard

CBT & ABA Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families

Helping Young People and Families build confidence, understanding, and lasting skills

My name is David Pollard, and I am a psychology practitioner with a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), supporting children, adolescents, and families.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, and a professional certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My work focuses on providing evidence-based, practical support tailored to each individual’s needs, strengths, and goals.

I take a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy, recognising that emotional wellbeing is influenced by relationships, environments, learning styles, and developmental differences. I specialise in:

  • CBT for Anxiety support for children and teenagers

  • CBT for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • ABA-based 1:1 therapy for children with ASD

  • Parent and family support sessions

My aim is to create a supportive, structured, and understanding therapeutic space where young people and families feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work closely with parents and caregivers, providing practical strategies that can be used in everyday life to promote confidence, emotional regulation, and long-term wellbeing.

I offer both in-person and remote sessions, working with families internationally. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on helping individuals build meaningful and lasting skills.

About me

Services

Remote Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for children, teenagers, and young adults experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, or challenges related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps individuals understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. 1:1 Applied Behaviour Analysis Therapy (ABA)

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sessions focus on developing communication, independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour through structured, evidence-based strategies. Therapy is tailored to each child’s strengths and needs, with an emphasis on building meaningful skills that can be used in daily life at home, school, and in the community.

Remote Parent & Family Support

Supporting a child with autism or anxiety can be challenging, and parents often benefit from practical guidance and reassurance. These support sessions provide a space to discuss concerns, understand behaviour, and learn effective strategies to support your child’s development and wellbeing. These sessions focus on collaborative problem-solving and equipping families with tools that can be used confidently in everyday situations.
